The following area of the City of Bastrop is designated as the "Bastrop Historic District," to wit:  The eight-block downtown area of Bastrop, containing the Morehouse Parish Courthouse and the one-block areas immediately adjacent and to the northwest, north, northeast, west, east, southwest, and south of said courthouse.
